We are an artistically driven, independent boutique record label, founded and headquartered in New York City. Our mission is to entertain discerning ears with infinite aural delight.

CANDYSTORECORDS is a closely held private company. This arrangement allows us many freedoms in crafting carefully planned, unique CD compilation projects. We draw from numerous and diverse sources, selecting our repertoire from the deep vaults and dusty corners of eagerly participating record labels. Many of these labels, we have discovered, are unaware of their own back-catalogue treasures. So, we decided to break out our excavating equipment and go on a dig.

Our seven year expedition is over – we’ve been to the end of the rainbow and brought back the gold.

CANDYSTORECORDS takes great pleasure & pride in presenting its first retail offering - MightyREAL,  A Dance Floor Retrospective:  1980 - 1988. MightyREAL is a 15 volume CD compilation series that chronicles the dance floor classics of a wild, yet mostly unexplored nightclub scene which thrived during the changeover period of Disco to Dance Music. MightyREAL features the real Disco/Danceable New Wave/HiNRG/pre-House hits - grooved to by millions of scenesters in the urban Big Room clubs, between 1980 and 1988.... and a mighty good time was had by all. 

The "ear candy" being offered, comes to you as the original full-length hits, legally procured and meticulously remastered. Customer enjoyment and satisfaction will always be our goal.
